Georgia's Best Kept Secret
Jekyll Island, sometimes referred to as the "best kept secret" in the Southeast, offers its own unique and unspoiled natural beauty in this barrier island setting. When you arrive you'll find that the hustle and stress of everyday life seem to drift away through the moss-draped live oaks and swaying pines. Jekyll Island offers something for everyone, whether you're coming for business or pleasure.

Located just six miles off the Georgia coast, midway between Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL, and just minutes off Interstate 95.

Landmark Historic District: In 1886, a group of America's wealthiest families purchased Jekyll Island and developed it into a private resort. For 55 years, families such as the Rockefellers, Morgans, and Vanderbilts enjoyed the beauty and seclusion of Jekyll Island as their own private island. Today, everyone can tour these beautiful cottages and learn more on the history of the island.

Bring your Clubs: Today, Jekyll Island is Georgia's largest public golf resort with three 18-holes courses and one 9-hole oceanside course. (See our Golf Vacation Package in the Packages section).

Coastal Georgia Golf Course Links:

Serve it up: Prefer tennis? The Jekyll Island Tennis Center offers 13 clay courts set among beautiful landscaping.

Go with the flow: At Summer Waves Water Park! More than a million gallons of splashing water fun, with 11 acres of rides, thrills, food, excitement, and cool summer times. Summer Waves is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day (Summer Waves).
